Norway proudly accepted the prestigious invitation to be the inaugural Guest of Honour at the 2023 MediaTech Hub Conference, an honour bestowed with the enthusiastic support from the Ministry of Economic, Labour, and Energy of the Federal State of Brandenburg.
The program featured influential figures from the Norwegian film, TV, and streaming industry, along with a vibrant cohort of innovative startups from Norway's thriving MediaTech scene. A delegation of Norwegian policy makers, business developers, and innovators joined the event.
Norway and Germany share a deep and extensive trade relationship, and the conference provided a brilliant opportunity to strengthen these connections, especially within the dynamic creative industries.
The Norwegian delegation engaged in a productive round table discussion with the Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, and Energy, alongside the Investment Bank, the Economic Development Board, the film funding institution medienboard, and Creative Europe. Conference participants included major German studios, broadcasters, service providers, and visionary creatives, all drawn together by the compelling vision of the MediaTech Hub Accelerator, the MediaTech Hub Academy, and the national German Digital Hub Initiative.
The Norwegian conference program included a keynote presentation by the product strategy director of the national broadcaster, NRK, a spirited panel discussion among industry leaders reflecting on the rapid transformations within the audiovisual landscape, and an inspiring showcase of dynamic MediaTech startups.
